I much prefer something a tad more subtle that you can wear for a long time. With the old masks, you wore them for 3 days, then never again unless you were really bored.

So far, Crush SC and the Balthazaar costumes.

I bought both, but dont care for the melandru costume. I'm sure Elton John would LOVE it. BTW, I couldnt come up with anything better(not a fashion expert) and I still feel that the costume and art design at ANet is the best in the business. Keep up the good work.

The two things I havent read enough praise for are the new quests and the Balthazaar costumes. I'm pretty sure the costumes would get a thread of their own, but everyone is too busy farming the new quests/SD!

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the best part about the new repeatable quests is that you dont have to renew the quest. You can just keep going. The quest always stays active! Best upgrade ever!

I've never been into the grind so I can't SD for more than half an hour before getting bored and doing something else. But I'm looking forward to at least taking a chunk out of Sweet/Party titles before the event is over.

As everyone has said, its nice to know that you can MAKE money maxing them, rather than spending it. Plus it leaves me with more money for my obby armour set.

I have a question related to Wintersday and Heart of the North. A few days ago, my main character met Keiran for the first time outside the Eye of the North and did the pendant quest for Gwen, at about the same time as the Three Wise Norn quest for Wintersday. Later my character saw the second Gwen/Keiran dialogue, the hay fever tea one. My main character, an ele/necro, is still doing the main Eye of the North quests (Norn, lost Ebon Vanguard, and Asura) and has only recently finished the lost Vanguard quests.

My question is what triggered the first Gwen quest, the pendant one? My character is nowhere near finishing the Eye of the North quests, so he hasn't taken part in the War of Kryta. I guess it was Wintersday that triggered the Gwen/Keiran dialogues? Or maybe just finishing the first Vanguard/Charr quests.

I'm enjoying the Snowball Fight of the Gods.

It's not as boring and repetitive as the rest. Well... maybe it is, but I don't feel it like that.

Maybe it's because you go with more people.

Probably the most fun thing is the 8v8 snowball tournaments. winning half your qualifying matches = 6 zkeys in reward points and most likely 1 from faction
Winning 1 more fight can get you in the quarter finales which adds another 21 keys from reward points.
Easiest money ever

I have a new favorite... racing the grentchies to the presents in town and getting them to the kids before I'm caught. *laughing* It's inane, but it just cracks me up every time!

Best part was me trolling a random person talking about their supposed real life cash in LA good times.

Im back from uni for xmas and this means a: im using my bad sec laptop and b: I got alot of assignments to be working on instead of playin games. So my best bit would have to be earning a good 1500+ party points and maxing it within a few days, not bad considering i dont consider myself a hardcore farmer of events.
Just hope i have enough time for sweet tooth as its still lacking, then again maybe i've earnt a fair bit of cash on my own without selling stuff to buy the remainder.

I did also randomly pick up a pressent near where i spawned in LA and sprint towards the nearest child. It felt quite funny when i had the camera on them as i run away..past several children and led them on an LA tour.

Best part of wintersday is 8v8 tournaments , although playing with elitist people with crap mentality can be annoying , especially once you lost in play offs....
Got no opinion about the rest. Kinda same than last year , SD is fun to do 3-4 times ,...

Agreed. Hopefully those aren't the hats. The hats just keep kinda getting worse and worse.

The Wintersday quests are enjoyable to run through several characters.
I am really enjoying the SD runs as the rewards are great across several titles.
